KUCCPS CEO called in for not disclosing college and university placements.
The CEO of the Kenya Universities and College Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has been summoned by the Commission of Administrative Justice for failing to provide placement results for public universities and colleges in a proactive manner.
Agnes Mercy Wahome, the Chief Executive Officer of the KUCCPS, was requested to attend a meeting at the Commission’s office by Viola Ochola, the Director of Access to Information, in a letter dated August 6.
On August 20 at 10:00 AM, Wahome is scheduled to appear at the commission’s office located in Westlands, Nairobi.
The meeting, in the director’s opinion, will be crucial to comprehending and reaching a mutually beneficial resolution.
“After carefully reviewing the applicant’s application for review under section 14(1)(a) of the ATI Act, the commission hereby invites you to a meeting to further understand and resolve this matter amicably on August 20, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the commission’s offices located in West End Towers, 2nd Floor, Waiyaki Way Westlands in Nairobi,” the statement read.
“A request for access to information may be made in Form ATI 1 set out in the First Schedule or any other manner, including through physical address of the office, postal address, website, official email address, or an information holder’s official social media account,” according to Ochola, who claims that the summons was issued in compliance with Section 14(1)(a) of the ATI.
