KPSEA Examinations guidelines.
The schedule for the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) has been made public by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).
A rehearsal will take place on October 25 before the major exam, which is scheduled for October 28–30.
The time allotted for each paper is listed next to its title, and no further time is permitted. Except in cases where specific paper instructions specify otherwise, the time allotted for reading through the questions is included in the time displayed on the question paper, according to KNEC.
The council requested that invigilators and supervisors make sure that candidates receive customized mark sheets with their accurate names and assessment numbers on them.
On the first exam day, candidates will take the math paper in the morning, followed by the English paper in the middle of the morning.
Candidates will take the Integrated Science paper in the morning and Kiswahili/Kenyan Sign Language in the middle of the morning on the second day.
Candidates will take the Creative Arts and Social Studies paper in the morning on the final day.
Additionally, KNEC requested that educators make sure that applicants comprehend the guidelines below and are aware of the consequences for misbehavior or abnormalities in assessments.
“Without special permission from the supervisor, you are not permitted to leave the assessment room before the end of the time allotted for the paper,” the council warned applicants.
It stated that a candidate’s results for the entire topic would be canceled if they committed an assessment irregularity in any paper.
It further stated that anyone who obtains access to assessment materials and willfully divulges the information to an unapproved party—whether or not they are a candidate—either verbally or in writing will be in violation of Section 27 of the KNEC Act No. 29 of 2012 and face a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, a fine of Sh2 million, or both.
